Into the “Well”

December 6, 2013

It seems like the first read-through was just yesterday, but “Well” goes into tech tomorrow. This has been one of the smoothest rehearsal processes I’ve ever experienced; I’m lucky to have a ridiculously talented cast and design/tech/support team on this show. I have spent the last three weeks working with actors who are funny and smart and wonderful to be around – I can’t think of a better way to earn a living and spend my time.

I hope that the show draws a big audience – not only because Off the Wall is a fantastic company, but this is a really good show. a REALLY good show. The script is solid; it’s a warm, funny, touching story about a mother and a daughter, about individual health and racial integration, about love and community. “Well” runs December 13 – 28 at Off the Wall Theatre in Carnegie PA (free parking, just across the street; the busway from Pittsburgh is also just across the street). Carnegie is only a 15 minute drive from Pittsburgh and features a variety of nice restaurants, and (maybe the biggest selling point), my favorite pub.
